The first thing you should do when planning SEO on your website is to define which keywords or search terms you would like to be found under.
Keyword sources generally tend to include search tools such as:
Google adword keyword checker https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Yahoo overture Keyword tool http://www.vretoolbar.com/keywords/
and keywords relative to your business.
Most clients generally tend to already have an idea what keywords they need to target for their SEO campaign. Picking out keywords & keyword phrases that change for each page or article will greatly increase the effectiveness of your SEO campaign.
