Joomla how to change the “welcome to the front page” title

“Welcome to the front page” This message is displayed by default in a new installation of joomla.

To disable this or change to your desired welcome message:

From the joomla control panel dashboard select the *Main Menu from the Menus drop down box

Open your main menu

Select your default home page

In the “Parameters (System)” box (bottom menu on the right hand side).

You will see the first setting at the top called

“Page Title” This is where you can change the message

The next setting,

“Show page title” will let you choose whether or not to show this title on your home page.

Its that easy!
